Founded in the year 1950, GEWOBAU Erlangen is today a mature and forward-thinking organisation with 95 employees and is ranked among the largest housing associations in Bayern. GEWOBAU‘s housing stock currently comprises around 8000 dwellings. 20,000 existing and budding “Erlanger” (residents of Erlangen) settle into a home here.

 

The company plays a significant role in the cityscape of Erlangen. That’s why in the past few years, inter alia, the residential estates in Erlanger Anger as well as in Stadtosten have undergone comprehensive modernisation. New housing has been created via the construction of 36 homes suitable for senior citizens and the disabled as well as the "Angerhof" and "Angerpark" property projects. On the property Kurt-Schumacher-Straße we are currently building 60 apartments especially for seniors.
