As a local housing association we fully understand the importance of our social duties. This is why we are not only involved in home building but we have also been twinned with two schools. Our adopted schools include the Pestalozzi School in Erlangen and the Röthelheimpark Business School (WiR).
Pestalozzi School, Erlangen
| Our sponsorship of this school began on 01/03/2004. A sweet chestnut tree has been symbolically planted on the school grounds to provide inspiration to students. What is more, GEWOBAU Erlangen also supports school projects, such as promoting the talents of migrant or disadvantaged children, who for reasons of parental financial difficulty would have otherwise been unable to take part in class outings. Staff from our Environmental Health team also lend a helping hand in small renovation projects to ensure that the pupils from our adopted schools feel comfortable in their environment. Röthelheimpark Business School (WiR)
 | Our partnership with WiR was born on 01/03/2005 and started with the "Active School" project, which continues to receive our support to this very day. Together with pupils and teaching staff we have helped remodel the entrance hall to the school building and also revamp the outdoor area for an open day. GEWOBAU representatives regularly visit the school to advise pupils of educational and training opportunities. Here you can find out further information on the school. |
